Nicole’s home buying experience in Brampton
Nicole came in for a consultation where we talked a lot about her budget and which areas matched it. It soon became clear she couldn’t find something in her favourite area in west Toronto. This is very easy to find out when looking together at online listings in each individual area.
She decided to compromise quite a bit on location and started looking at Mississauga and Brampton. Quite soon I found her a great house in Brampton that matched her criteria. As you can see in the video, she’s very happy with how the process went.
Joe and Keira’s Home Buying Experience in East York
Joe and Keira were renting a house in East York. It wasn’t the greatest house, with regular basement floodings for example. They decided it was time to buy a house. They went to our workshop and then had a one on one consultation with me.
Their preference was to stay in the area, so we started searching around East York. Quickly we found a great semi with a finished basement, a nice backyard on a quiet street.
The negotiations went great, we were able to get the house for under market value!
Kirk and Renee’s Home Buying Experience – 8 Months Later
When I got into touch with Kirk he had been searching online a lot and visited many open houses. Him and Renee were a bit frustrated by the open houses especially as they felt uncomfortable being in a house with an agent who’s trying to sell it to them.
We chatted a bit about their frustrations and I explained to them they could have independent representation by someone who’s not motivated to sell them one particular house. They really liked that idea, came in for a consultation and we started the search from there.
Their main target was Leslieville as they adored the Queen East strip over there. We went to see a great semi and they fell in love with it.
This being the beginning of 2009, when it was a strong buyers market, we went into some fierce negotiations. I ended up negotiating the price down by $27,000.
Not surprisingly, they were very happy.
This was filmed 8 months after their purchase. How did it all go? Was it a good choice?
Brandi & Joel – The first one was the best one!
Brandi and Joel weren’t really looking, but “if they would find the perfect deal…they would jump on it.” After getting together for an information session they ended up buying the first condo I showed them! We looked at a few others just to make sure….but this was the one!
Jennifer – Stress free experience
Jennifer went to our team’s workshop where she became familiar with the entire home buying process. After that we had a one on one consultation in which I had an opportunity to find out exactly what was important for her about her new place. That made sure non of her time was wasted by looking at the wrong places. Within 2 weeks I found her a condo that suited her wishes very well.
Kim & Dan – Great communication
Kim & Dan were referred to me by other clients. They were very excited to look for a house in the east end of the city. As first time buyers they didn’t know a lot about the process of buying a home, but our consultation changed that totally. As it was clear to me what they were looking for, we only looked at 4 homes when we found the one they ended up buying. They had some problems with the bank, but a lot of determination on their part and a little bit of help from me made sure everything turned out fine.
Vanessa – Looked for the right agent and condo
Before Vanessa started looking for a place she did some research to find the right agent for her. Part of her research were these buyer videos!
When she decided to start looking for a condo she went to one of our homebuyer workshops first. After getting a lot of valuable information, we did a one on one consultation.
In that consultation it became very clear she was looking for an energetic downtown location, good TTC connection and a modern building with good facilities.
Vanessa is very busy with her career and didn’t have a lot of time to search and look for condos. All the knowledge gathered in workshop and consultation made it possible to narrow down her search a lot and not waste any of her time.
After a relatively short search I found her a great condo in the beautiful King East area. It was a great fit and she’s very happy there, as you can see in the video.
